WHO CAN ATTEND TRYOUTS?

Any current Memphis FC player, a competitive player from another club, player from a recreational or advanced recreational league, or player involved in school intramural programs are welcome to attend. There is no cost for the tryout sessions.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO TRYOUTS?

Wear cleats, shin guards, and athletic clothes. Bring a soccer ball and water.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE TRYOUTS?

On your assigned day and session, you should arrive 15 minutes early to check-in with your appropriate age group. The coaches will then observe and evaluate the players through drills and game-type scrimmages or small-sided games that will allow players more time with the ball. The coaches want to give each player a chance to perform and play. Each player will have 2 days of tryouts lasting about 1.5 hours and will be expected at both. There will be time to talk to the head coach or Director of Coaching after each session. Please try to make both days. If there is a conflict or you cannot attend, please contact Carl Schmitt at [email protected] so they can put you in touch with your particular age-group head coach for make-up sessions. Parents are encouraged to attend and observe off the field.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN AFTER TRYOUTS?

You will receive communication from the club regarding the player’s selection by the club within 2 days after last tryout date. Offers can come verbally and all will be confirmed by email. With younger age groups, we normally accept all players and place them in their particular age-group pool. For older kids, there may be situations that require cuts due to group size or recommendations by the coaching staff for another direction more appropriate for that player.

Location for all tryouts: MidSouth Park(MSP)/Lowrance Park, 7740 Lowrance Rd, Memphis 38125 - Behind Lowrance Middle School.
